Usually the films are distributed by Shock-o-rama cinema are pure fun and when I say FUN, I mean good, enjoyable and very entertaining. They have seldom a darker side.
Sinful” is by all means an entertaining film, but because of that something extra, that darker side to this film it is totally different, of what we are used from “Shock-o-rama” cinema.

Let's start with the plot. Lilith (Misty Mundae) cannot conceive a child no matter how desperately she tries. As her marriage begins to unravel, so does her hold on reality slowly slip away. When she befriends her beautiful neighbour Aisha (Erika Smith) who just got pregnant, Lilith's behaviour becomes unstable. The pregnancy ignites a furious envy inside Lilith. She wants to become a mother whatever it takes.

Sometimes hard to follow, because flashes of an uncertain reality are mixed with traces of pure lunacy, certainly brutal and shocking, yet deeply dramatic and dark, the story unfolds before your eyes. What begins as a plot with no direction, yet interesting enough to keep you wondering what will happen, unexpectedly leads to an ultimate brutal climax, where half of the cast doesn't survive.

Sinful” can't be described as an art house movie, but it surely has that feel about it. For instance the difference in lightning used when filming Lilith vs Aisha or the classical score, are only a few things to point out. On the other hand, this film is a dark and brutal tragedy, filmed in a style that could be compared with movies by the French director Jean Rollin or the Polish artist Walerian Borowczyk.

Filmed on location, in only 4 days, the movie shows a totally different side of actress Misty Mundae. The softcore starlet unfolds as a really great actress, who definitely has a hold on herself. Less naked then usual, Misty Mundae (or do we have to call her
Erin Brown
now?) is capable of much more then just showing off her body. Misty Mundae-fans from around the world have known for years that she was capable of much more and now it seems that director Tony Marsiglia has found the key to unlock her talents.

Sinful” is definitely a movie that should compete on one or more film festivals across Europe cause it blends drama, fiction, psychosis, reality, incest, abuse and murder in a rather unique story. A story that is supposedly based upon true facts, about a woman killing pregnant girls, cutting the foetuses out of the womb. The film does not turn into a gore spectacle though as you might expect (with one or two exceptions). Most is left to your imagination, with sometimes really great cinematographic effects.

Razors Up for this one, cause it's a real beauty! The film comes with a handful of extras including a behind the scenes reel, commentary track of the director, an interview with Misty Mundae and some clips from the New Jersey Film Festival in which you can see a glimpse of Dylan Bank , the director who gave us Nightmare on BIFFF 2006!
